Shipston High School offers a friendly and welcoming environment for all of our pupils. We pride ourselves on having high expectations and a pupil centred ethos.

We focus on the essentials that create success: high quality teaching and learning; pastoral care for all; strong relationships with parents, families and the wider community to support pupils in their learning. I am committed to ensuring that Shipston High School provides the very best start in life for its pupils.

I am privileged to lead such a successful school, one that provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment that enables every pupil to grow personally and academically.  I am proud of our staff’s dedication to preparing pupils for their future lives whilst striving for the highest possible academic standards. Our pupils are at the centre of our work and are excellent ambassadors for the school.  Their confidence, resilience and highly motivated approach impressed Ofsted when they visited in 2018, stating that the “Shipston values of Learning, Respect, Ambition and Achievement are reflected in the positive attitudes of pupils” and describing their behaviour as “commendable”.

The school is at an exciting point in its development.  This year we saw superb GCSE results, with many pupils achieving grades and levels of progress in excess of national expectations.  This is testimony to the continual focus of pupils, staff and families and exemplifies the strong work ethic and desire for success held by the whole school community.  The school is expanding too, with a striking new building being opened in July 2018 comprising reception, nine state of the art classrooms and office accommodation, offering a fresh and contemporary learning and working space.
