On Thursday 14th December we were kindly invited to attend the weekly Warm Hub meeting at the scout hut. Three of our senior prefects and Mrs Edwards visited, taking along some mince pies made by the students. We were warmly greeted by the familiar, friendly face of Mrs Punt and introduced to some of the members and volunteers.

There was so much to do – board games, peppermint cream making, festive treats and plenty of chatter! The warm hub is a fantastic venue for anyone who enjoys meeting new people over a cup of tea. They hold different activities throughout the week and are a fabulous source of information on practical tips and advice on saving energy costs and keeping safe and warm at home. The warm hub can also signpost members to other support organisations as may be needed.

We had a wonderful time listening to the stories of some of the members and will be back again in the new year.
