Homework is an essential part of the learning process. It enables pupils to;
- Extend their learning beyond the classroom
- Develop independence
- Explore topics of interest
- Consolidate prior learning
- Prepare for future learning
Homework is not set according to a timetable, instead it is set when it is most relevant and most beneficial to the students’ progress. All students in all year groups will receive homework, with the amount increasing as they progress through the school. Key Stage 3 students should be receiving approximately 5 hours per week, and Key Stage 4 students 8-10 hours per week.
All homework will be set on Teams for students to access and view. Most homework will also be submitted back to teachers via Teams.
Parents can access their child’s homework via Edulink on the homework tab
