During the Easter half term, some of our Year 11 REP students went to visit BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, in London, to help them with their revision for their upcoming GCSE exam.
During their visit to the temple, students were engaged in a variety of activities, including taking part in a Hindu religious ritual of worship called Arti. Furthermore, they got to see the different features of the Mandir, including the intricate carvings of the Deities and Murtis.
Throughout this visit, students were able to develop their knowledge about the practices of the Hindu faith, all of which is part of their GCSE course. It also enabled them to see firsthand what they had learnt and to see it from a different perspective.
