Remembrance holds a very special place in our school Calendar.
This year, we held two assemblies on the theme of Remembrance which were attended by Mr Richard Adams and Mr David Kernohan from the Shipston branch of the Royal British Legion. At such a busy time for the Legion, their support and interest in the school is much appreciated.
Aside from the assemblies, the school observed the silence at 11.00 a.m. on Armistice Day whilst Mr Saunders and the senior prefects represented the school in Shipston town centre.
Sunday 13th November saw the senior prefects join other members of the community in the procession and church service to honour Shipston’s war dead. The students read out the names of the fallen at the town war memorial and then shared some of their own thoughts and poetry during the service.
Thank you Nahia, Imogen, Daisy and Georgina for the mature way in which you represented our school community.
