Miss Davies, our Head of PE, joined forces with The Shakespeare Hospice to raise money for the charity by creating the most incredible raffle and organising a Santa Dash and Christmas jumper day in school for the students. With over £3,000 worth of prizes, the raffle alone generated over £1,000 in funds.

All 600 students took part in a huge Santa Dash during their PE lesson, dressed head to toe in a full Santa suit, and beard if so wished, to run the full perimeter of the school field. It was a wonderful sight and students really enjoyed taking part.

The Shakespeare Hospice is a local charity which offers a diverse range of community-based services including a Day Hospice, Hospice at Home, Adult Counselling, Children’s and Family Support Services and Transitional Care Services.

We would like to thank all the local businesses, and individuals, who very generously donated to the raffle. We would not have been able to raise such a fantastic amount without your support.

With so many generous donations made for the Santa Dash, the grand total raised was over the £3,000 target! A huge thank you to everyone who donated to this wonderful charity. It has been a lot of fun, and a lot of work for Miss Davies! Well done for putting it all together and raising such a fantastic amount of money!
