On Thursday 20th January, all of Year 7 took part in a “Dare to be you” Careers day with Career Seekers Direct.

The goal of the workshop was to raise students’ aspirations and knowledge of what they can be and do in the future.  Throughout the session the students were highly engaged, working in teams to try and decide what they would like to do in the future and what skills they would need to achieve their goals. They created a game and developed key employability skills through a range of work experience activities. It was a really fun and interactive day and Year 7 thoroughly enjoyed it.

We are very grateful to some fantastic employers who came and talked to us.  James Pink and Jack from Pink Connect were really inspirational speakers and are great supporters of our school, Sarah Windrum from the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership talked about careers of the future and Jagdeep Sandher from Blythe Liggins spoke about careers in Law.

Year 7 were fantastic and asked so many questions!  A brilliant day all round.  Thanks to all involved.
